Gearing up for Rio with EF Education First
We’re thrilled to share that our parent company, EF Education First, is the Official Language Services Provider to Rio 2016.
June 23 marks the annual celebration of international Olympic Day, which is observed by millions of people across the globe and commemorates the start of the modern Olympic Games. This day is not only one for celebration, but also promotes fitness and well-being, along with the Olympic ideals of fair play, perseverance, respect and sportsmanship.
Around the world, folks will be joining together for group runs, capture the flag games and other activities that get everyone moving. (Here at Go Ahead, we’re looking forward to some spirited competition in our Boston office!)
In the spirit of Olympic Day and with all the excitement happening in Rio, we’re thrilled to share that our parent company, EF Education First, is the Official Language Training Services Supplier to Rio 2016. This means that the EF team has been working tirelessly behind the scenes for years to help Brazil get ready for Rio by training thousands of staff, volunteers, athletes and local citizens to learn English—yes, even the taxi drivers!
The EF mission is opening the world through education, and we do this by providing students, families and individuals with the opportunity to travel, learn new languages and experience local culture. At Go Ahead, we believe these immersive cultural experiences provide a unique perspective and promote a better understanding of the world.
Stay tuned, as we’ll be diving into Rio culture for the remainder of the summer. Follow the hashtag #EFLovesRio on social media to keep up and to join the conversation.
Mexa-se! (Get moving!)
